A New Beginning

Emmeline, the other designing brain of Buttons & Ribbons Paperie, tied the knot last Friday. So happy for her and Sebas! Here's to a new beginning to a new life together...

On Saturday the newly weds celebrated their new house with close relatives and friends... and what a beautiful place they have! Nestled in the luscious green of the west coast of Singapore, their cozy abode is one, I'd call resort-living.

Most may agree that vouchers may be an impersonal gift, but truth is, it's the best and most useful  gift especially for those in need to get the basic essentials for their new home. And what better way to make the vouchers more personal than to slot it in a handmade voucher holder! I know for a fact that one of Emmeline's proud purchase is the chandelier in her master bathroom. So I decided to emboss a chandelier on tracing paper to adorn the front of the voucher holder.

 

Congratulations once again my dear friend!

We were requested to make a dvdholder following the theme of a wedding- Tiffany blue and pink. I must say it was quite a task to find that exact paper color- either too dark or just not Tiffany enough. At Buttons & Ribbons we go all out to customise our creations as how our customers have envisaged, if not, better! So finally, we found that perfect Tiffany blue (without having to resort to tearing Tiffany & Co.'s brochures!) and matched with light pink, it sure was worth the search! Truly a perfect match! Don't you think so?

Happy Birthday no more?

The significance of birthdays diminishes as we grow older, at least for us ladies (or even some men!) who wish we do not have to "plus 1" to our age every year. Nonetheless, birthdays should be a celebration of our achievements and experiences throughout the XX years of our lives, a time of nostalgia even, if you like. We ought to embrace this annual event even as we grow older and wiser (hopefully).

So, send your loved ones/friends a card filled with words of encouragement and love, sacarsm or mockery (for a laugh maybe?) or even just your genuine well wishes.
