I remember as a little girl, when the other kids were crazy over battery operated, light-flashing, sound-making fancy toys, I kept myself occupied with stationery, yes, stationery. I would safeguard my stash of origami paper, patterned letter pads, "magic markers" (as they were known back then), my trusty set of Caran d'Ache coloured pencils and other "equipment". Stamping my various chops on paper gave me a sense of euphoria! I knew then, I was a crafty girl. This stationery stash was my comfort zone, I would feel joy just flipping through my collection of fancy paper and doodling with my "magic markers". I was sometimes secretly afraid this was an obssession.
Years later, to my delight, I found someone who shared the same obsession as me. You may know her from Mel's Inc (Mel's Canvas-http://melscanvas.wordpress.com/). Mel has been creating hand-made personalised cards for close to two years now. Her creations are down-to-earth with simple clean designs. But most importantly, when you receive one of Mel's cards, you will feel the sincerity, love and warm wishes from the sender.
Mel and I, have decided to take the plunge and expand Mel's Inc. We have made the choice to combine our obsession and passion for craft to bring you "Buttons & Ribbons Paperie". Our focus will be highly personalised cards and gifts which are made with our heart and soul, and a dash of our harmless obssession.
