As a small child, I was taught by my parents to say thank you to anyone who has offered a helping hand or given me something, no matter how minimal the help was or how small the gift was. As I grow older, I realised that sincere people who are helpful and giving will not expect anything back, but it makes them feel good when their gesture is recognised with a simple thanks...
